I believe one is best served with a combination of approaches under the umbrella of positive psychology theory. The methodology includes a through assessment, followed by the creation of goals and development of skills. The therapy involved the identification of feelings and thoughts (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), while blending various processing techniques to assist the client in the development of positive coping strategies and a methodical approach to growth and change.

One approach is EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing). I am an expert in using EMDR and have completed over 220 hours of EMDRIA approved advanced training. EMDR is utilized to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, panic disorder, substance abuse and more. It is recognized as the best treatment for PTSD by the Department of Defense, The Department of Veterans Affairs, World Health Organization and American Psychiatric Association.

I also have advanced training in Individual and Group Crisis Intervention, Critical Incident and Stress Debriefing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Treating Victims of Crime. Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Treating Addiction, Mindfulness, Rational Living Therapy, Cultural Diversity, Veterans & PTSD, Advanced training in treating DID, The Addicted Borderline, Biofeedback, Self-injury Behaviors, Sex Abuse Survivors and Eating Disorders.
